Our Fitting Process

Our fitting process

WITH SO MANY CHOICES OUT THERE, CHOOSING THE RIGHT RUNNING SHOE CAN BE A DAUNTING TASK. WE’RE HERE TO HELP YOU NAVIGATE THE TECHNICAL FIT PROCESS AND TO HELP YOU FIND THE PERFECT SHOE FOR YOU.

At active feet, our expert team are focused on delivering a shoe based on your individual foot and lower limb pattern.

We perform free in store bio mechanic assessments, in addition to our treadmill gait analysis to best determine what your body needs to perform at optimum level.

It is no accident that all brands have multiple models within their range. These models are designed in part to facilitate support or encourage motion for varying body types, foot types and technique.
Sports biomechanics defines the body in motion and the physical loads that effect performance and may cause injury. For example, gait analysis allows us to investigate how a runner or walker moves. This understanding has important implications for athletic footwear design and prescription, injury prevention strategies, and technique modification for performance enhancement.

RECORD YOUR WALK & BOOK A VIRTUAL FITTING

Record yourself as shown in this video, and send us the clip so we can assess your walking pattern.

We can then discuss this with you in a virtual fitting that you can book HERE

OR fill out a TAILORED SHOE RECOMMENDATION and attach the video to this form.

WHAT IS PRONATION?

Pronation Is the way your foot rolls inwards when you walk and run. It is described as the natural inward motion of the foot just after it lands on the ground. It is good and is essential for our bodies natural shock absorption system.

It is important to remember that we fit a shoe to best assist your body’s natural bio mechanics – not correct. Our goal is to give you the tools to enjoy an active lifestyle – comfortable, happy and pain free!

DON'T HAVE TIME TO WAIT FOR A FITTING?

We get it.

Grab a pair of your shoes and take a look at the wear pattern on the sole. Match it to the diagram to determine the level of support you require.
